Water Jetting

Whitehead understands the importance of keeping your pipes clean and your sewers clear.

Water Jetting

Water jetting, also known as hydro-jetting or high-pressure water jetting, is a method used by our professional Whitehead plumbers to clean and clear clogged drains and sewer lines. It involves using a high-pressure stream of water to remove blockages, debris, and buildup from pipes, effectively restoring proper flow and functionality to the plumbing system.

Hydro jetting is one of the most effective ways to clean your sewer and drain lines. With the use of high-pressure water streams, the hydro jetting process can blast away any clogs and debris that are causing your pipes to slow down or back up. This technology is the most effective way to clean the interior of your piping systems and help prevent backup from reoccurring frequently as long as there are no other piping issues. Water Jetting followed by a thorough camera inspection can give our technicians detailed information of your piping systems and give you peace of mind that the problems have been resolved.

Whitehead understands the importance of keeping your pipes clean and your sewers clear. That’s why we offer a range of hydro jetting services designed to suit your needs. When you need sewer jetting services, we provide hydro jet drain cleaning services that get the job done right.

How our water jetting services work:

  • Assessment
Before performing water jetting, a plumber will typically conduct an initial inspection of the drain or sewer line using specialized cameras to identify the location and nature of the clog.

  • Preparation
Once the clog is located, the plumber will prepare the equipment for water jetting. This usually involves connecting a high-pressure hose to a specialized machine capable of generating the required water pressure.
  • High-Pressure Water Jetting
The plumber will insert the nozzle attached to the high-pressure hose into the drain or sewer line. The machine then delivers a powerful stream of water at high pressure, ranging from 1,500 to 4,000 pounds per square inch (PSI), into the pipe.
  • Cleaning Process
The high-pressure water effectively breaks apart and dislodges obstructions, such as grease, tree roots, mineral deposits, soap scum, and other debris, from the walls of the pipe. The force of the water flushes the loosened material out of the pipe, clearing the blockage and restoring proper flow.
  • Final Inspection
Once the water jetting process is complete, the plumber may conduct a final inspection to ensure that the drain or sewer line is completely clear of obstructions and functioning correctly.

Advantages of Water Jetting

Water jetting offers several advantages over traditional methods of drain cleaning, including:

  • Effectiveness

Water jetting is highly effective at removing even stubborn blockages and buildup from pipes.

  • Environmentally Friendly

Unlike chemical drain cleaners, water jetting does not rely on harsh chemicals, making it an environmentally friendly option.

  • Versatility

It can be used to clean drains and sewer lines of various sizes and materials, including PVC, cast iron, and clay.

  • Preventive Maintenance

Regular water jetting can help prevent future clogs by thoroughly cleaning the interior of pipes and removing potential obstructions before they cause problems.

Overall, water jetting is a powerful and efficient method of drain cleaning that can help keep your plumbing system running smoothly and prevent costly repairs.
